The mini was particularly spectacular in how classless it its - in other words, rich and poor, people loved it. Every member of the Beatles had one, as did Twiggy and Princess Margaret. Even Enzo Ferarri had one. Marc Bolan did too, until he was killed in a crash in a purple 1275GT, which was driven by Gloria Jones (who recorded the original Tainted Love).

I'm fairly sure there are other threads on here about famous Mini people like Sellers, McQueen, Garner, Lauda, McLaren, Spencer Davis Group, Lulu etc etc which I always find inner resting :D

If it wasn't for princess Margaret getting given one the mini would have gone to scrap heaven not long after it was put on the road over in pom pom land she made them popular

I watched that sbs classic car show the other week and heard it on that show
