should have read the all the posts, you can buy bronze bushes from a bearing place that slide over the rocker shaft, some are the right size some you may have machine down a little

Went a bit off tangent tonight and worked on getting the roller rockers set up. Still can't get the rollers over the centres of the valve stems. I know Minisport sells a kit for $35...would this be the best way to go or do I go to a nut and bolt place and get some flat washers? What are your thoughts? I must also add that this is the most I have typed here for a long time...so glad when study finished...I have more time to play with the mini...go figure that one! Hooroo |

I don't have roller rockers so I don't have much to add on this topic as to the proper way of doing this, but if you can't find a solution that is right, let me know and I can machine you up some custom width spacers if you'd prefer not to have washers stacked together. |

The spacers can be made up from mild steel, I'd use black steam pipe of approximately the size needed and just part off in a lathe. Washers are not made with any exact tolerance. Cheers Richard. |

HI ROB I have spacers 1mm and 2mm, not sure what you are trying to do, with 1.3 rockers and a small cam the rockers will not travel very far across the valve. are you trying to get the roller to start in the middle of the valve or reach the centre of the valve at half lift? if you want some spacers yell out and i'll send some. He is talking about the centering of the valve on roller east/west not north/south if you get what I mean. |
