Who's got one, What type. What do you think of it. Do they compare well with Air powered ones. I don't have room for a Compressor in my jam packed garage. Advice please. |

GR uses an electric die grinder for all head work, and it gets a big workout. At my last job we had a Makita one, it was good with carbide burrs but speed was only 7000 rpm. be aware there are both 6mm and 6.35mm (1/4") standards for the collets. You can fit & use 6mm burrs & stones in the 1/4" chuck, but not the reverse. (edit) I like my Ingersoll Rand 22,000rpm air one. 1/4 HP. ![]() |

Seems to be OK as never used an air grinder. 25000RPM. Don't recommend using cheap stones and extension cable bendy thing. It kinked while I was using it. Yeah...not good. ![]() |

I have a Makita one as well. Rather use that than the air one, compressors don't have a very good duty cycle. |
