Hi, this isn't that important but I thought I would ask nonetheless. I am installing rear hi-los. The instructions say install the plastic plug into the hole in the rear hi-los (which is apparently meant to allow water drainage when installed in the front). However there are no plugs in the box. Have they changed their mind or are these missing? I'm sure otherwise I can find something to plug the 1/2" hole. Thanks. Jon. |

i wouldn`t bother with the plug... just copper-coat the thread inside the hi-lo & the bolt & i normally copper-coat the lip of the donut where it meets the hi-lo too then Bob`s your Aunty ![]() |

Kopr-Kote (originally sold here by Ampol, then Caltex) is copper and graphite based. Interestingly, it is not recommended for use with aluminium, or zinc. But, we all have done it. http://xtex.com.au/kopr-kote-anti-seize/ [edit] I have found the nickel based one is better for exhaust applications. eg on a Maniflow LCB Y-piece. When I used kopr-kote there years ago, I needed the angle grinder to get it off! |

Hi, yes no worries. I used assembly grease/compound to lubricate the thread. I think the plug according to minispares is a small plastic plug in the packet with the rod, however it is slightly too small for the hole and won't stay put. I used some silastic to stick it in place. Thanks all, Jon. |
