Hi All,
Having been a fan of Mini' since I was 13 when I bought my first 1979 round nose in the UK and spent 4 years restoring I've always fancied another, but something 'different'.

I've stumbled across this on gumtree today and am planning to view it tomorrow.

Unfinished project of course and some bit still required which is Ok.

Owner wants $9k as is. Would this be a fair deal?

Thanks for any pointers, appreciated in advance.

Cheers
Mike

I just noticed that too, owner has removed the ad since we've agreed to meet tomorrow morning and deposit in tow!

Comes with 2 engines, not sure on size yet, new bucket seats, brakes, suspension.
Needs some glass, door handles and interior parts.

Photos attached :D

I've been quoted that for a paint job.... so it doesn't seem to bad to get a whole car with what looks like new paint....

Depends on what's underneath...

Cheers, Ian

Big flares with wide rims, check if the front guards have been modified to prevent scrubbing. Mainly an issue if you want to change back to no flares and standard rims etc. But it looks pretty good.

Looks like a lot of fun. The great thing about good paint and steel is that everything else is just the fun stuff about building a car. Bolting on nice parts, building a nice engine and box, great brakes, upholstery and electrics. Thats just me though, I love assembly!

The guy that bought it had to have it because it was 'just what he's been looking for'
turns out he's after a quick buck.
Its disappointing as I really was in two minds to sell it or not.

I guess you cant do much about it once sold, I would have rathered somebody have it that really wanted it though.

Yes, its a shame when you sell in good faith.

I hope to see it around here though. It really looks like a nice project. Its a credit to you.
