The axle stand were from Pit Bull cycle stands, a brand that I used to sell. They flew off the shelf, dropped shipped them around the world and at the races we always sold 20 or more sets.

As for a type of motorcycle, love Yamahas firstly then Suzukis. The two Suzukis were set up for stock racing. The 659 bike was my brother's 750 class and the two 112 bikes were mine. The Yamaha R6 was a modified production class with 145hp at the rear wheel where the Suzuki 600 pulled 105hp at the wheel. The other bikes in the various pictures were of our sponsored riders and friend's bikes.

Hah!...isn't it strange how well designed, functional bits of kit almost sell themselves.

Looks like you had a ball playing with bikes, I rode for many years but only liquorice-framed Hondas, but got to ride some interesting others like Norton, HRD/Vincent, Duke, AJS, jap stuff like Kwaka (widowmaker triple), Suzi and Yammies.

Got a trivia question for you (if you don't mind)...coming back from Yosemite I took windy road option down to the flatlands heading Nth West. I have been looking for a fabulous little town I went through where the main street was a cutting maybe 20-30 feet deep and you looked up at the shops etc...do you know the place?

WB, I checked the map and it would have been the I120 then a lot of the I99 as I wanted to avoid the 5.

Had a look at El Portal...nah :-) Imagine a deep railway cutting with a Wild West looking town perched above on the heights...

It was late in the year, late in the day, snow and black ice on the climb out of Yosemite, in a Pontiac Grandam. I was reasonably concerned about traction!

Yep...Motorcyclists usually have a bunch of near death experience tales to tell...

The early Commando's were really pppproneee tttooo vvibbrattion even with their fancy, smancy isolating mounts...an expert could tune that out of em tho... :D
