Has anyone fitted an LED Light bar behind the grille of their clubby? I'm wondering if they are effective mounted there.

Tossing up between them and 100w spotties mounted in front.

You will only see light that can make it through the grille.

Agree with you would only see what comes through the grille but how cool would it look at night :)

A pair of Narva H4 lights with the 60/55 w plus 120% light globes will give a mountain of light without the drain of 130/90 w globes. I still run relays for high and low beam, and it will light up a sign 950 metres down the road, once you set the lights right, all while still looking stock.

Will order a relay today and see how that improves my light output first. Actually drove the mini for the first time in the dark last night and it's actually not too bad. :)

Fitting one of these light bars on my sons 4WD. Do they need a relay or just a switch to the battery? I assume they draw less current than big spot lights.

I would still do a relay. The kits are normally supplied with one.
