Just wondering how compatible doors are between models? Can wind up window doors fit onto sliding window bodies or vice versa or can only doors be changed for their own kind eg deluxe to deluxe, mini k to mini k. What I'm asking can deluxe/mini k/cooper doors fit onto an 850 body without any or many mods Thanks guys |

Deluxe doors can be put on an 850, just takes a bit of work around the lock latches, the nylon snubber blocks are different setup. Use Oz windup door seal rubbers, not 850 ones. Forget Clubby doors though, needs mucho B pillar mods. |

The only significant difference I can see between my English sliders and Oz windups is that the nylon wedge and its matching metal bracket are the other way around. Oz cars seem to have the bracket attached to the body with the wedge on the door; UK cars are the opposite. But it doesn't matter. They both have the same attachment dimensions so as long as you have one of each I can't see it matters which way round you fit them.. Kev is right though..you do need (well, its works much better) if you have the correct rubber seal that matches the door type... Cheers, Ian |

If you run 850 door seals like I bought once from Minisport UK, it won't seal a windup door. I reckon it had a 2mm clearance, under the door. However this was on a 1970 Matic body, YMMV. |

Anything is possible, but there's a whole bunch of custom steel and glass work required... Cheers, Ian |
