Hi again ( this is becoming an addiction!!)
Spli the engine today, has been sitting 15+ yrs, how/ what do I check, don't want it jumping out of gear. All turns free, no weird noises, was sealed with a coating of oil on everything. Is a 22g68 casing number. Am planning on attaching this to rebuild 998 with 1098 crank, and other bits and bobs.
Cheers,
Steve

Are you planning on pulling it apart or just looking at it from the top? A central oil pickup would be a good idea and checking the diff pin and gears are in good condition.

Just looking at chucking it in really, is supposedly good, just wondering if any checks I can do to see if it would jump out of second :-)
