40psi is the lowest you want it hot though.

At what revs??? 40 is stacks + at idle.... By the time you get to 3000 revs I would suggest you need something on the upside of 60...

Cheers, Ian

40 is about 2000 revs, 3000 about 55 - 60

It'll definitely have a variance. This can change with the type/brand of oil you use as well.

When I run Castrol I sit around 70psi cold idle, and 50psi warm idle. When I use Penrite Classic Mini, I'll start around 85psi cold idle, and even after it warms up it'll still be 65psi idle. After driving for 10-15 minutes, the Penrite will go all the way down to around 40psi warm idle.

I'm not a fan of the Penrite. I don't think this much variance and inconsistency is good for the Mini.

When it gets down to 40psi hot @ 3000 rpm up, IMO it's rebuild time.
In the meantime, charge on regardless. :)

I'm using Penrite now and pressure is better than Valvoline Classic.
75 when cold and idles around 40psi, engine has only done a few thousand kays.

I changed my Valvoline Classic to Gulf Western 20W/50 and took it for a good run yesterday.
Oil pressure cold went from 90 to 100psi, when good and hot went from 70 to 75 @ 3000rpm up.
Idles hot at about 35, motor has been in 8 years and done around 15,000 miles. Redline was 8000, now I use a 7500 rev limiter.
