Just some info on what I found when rebuilding one of my front hubs I decided to go everything new CV's Timken Bearings, Ball Joints, Disc Rotors Just be aware when fitting new bearings and or CV's The ones I used the CV end Bearing didn't fit the Shaft properly The bearing inner radius or the CV radius were too small and wouldn't allow the bearing to fit right up to the shoulder It came about 1mm from the shoulder and locked onto the shaft So basically fit that bearing to the shaft first and see that it slides up to the end shoulder and you cant see daylight I had to machine the CV and the bearing radius to get a nice fit Will try to get some photos to explain better |

Sounds like the new CV was faulty. Bearing usually slides right up. |

Last set of CVs I tried didn't have enough spline machined on them and when the drive flange was fitted it bottomed out on the spline run off before the bearing seat. Check that too! |
