In case it hasn't been posted previously, this video shows how the automatic transmission for the Mini, 1100 and 1300 is assembled and tested. http://www.britishpathe.com/video/autom ... umentaries |

Love these old films. Interesting way of holding the engines to the line, looks like it fixes to the gearbox flange somehow. Anyone know how it attaches exactly. Might be a better way to hold my engine to my stand. |

Lovely...sound would have been a bonus. Loved the fella filing the case face then not even bothering to check whether anything went in the box...but the quick squirt of paint for the completed engine and box took the cake! ![]() |

I didn't realise the britishpathe version doesn't have sound. The narrative makes all the difference, especially during the manufacture process. 9YaTaH wrote: ...but the quick squirt of paint for the completed engine and box took the cake! ![]() I'm pretty sure they said that was preservative being sprayed on. |

I spent 10 mins watching it try to load... then gave up. I'm on 35Mb cable, so dunno what's the problem. I'll blame Hel$tra... Never seen it this slow... ![]() |
