Decided to put a kit in my mate's Clubby clutch slave cylinder to go with his `new' motor. Took it apart, gave it a quick hone and then found the new 7/8" seal in the kit wouldn't fit. ????? ![]() Somebody has sleeved it with S/S. Would be nice if they'd bored the casting out bigger first, then bored the sleeve to 7/8" and used stock seals and piston! Now I need to go find a 13/16" cup seal instead. ![]() |

Mine is undersized ..to allow for the other non standard bits. A smaller bore gives a bigger throw. At the time it was made I was told that older Toranas used the same (or at least similar but with reduced bore) cylinder. Cheers, Ian |

That may be what it's off, as the piston, & seal spreader are `undersized' too. I'm sure it'll work fine, once I get a 13/16" cup seal [on Tuesday?] here's hoping B&R Brakes are open this week.. |

Would the sleeve take a careful 1/16 removal? ![]() |

It's only running a stock Cooper S blue dot diaphragm. Motor is a `short stroke 1108' (68mm bore, 998 crank) |

Can't buy them as a spare part now but DrMini has made a few up from HDPE. Spring sits inside it. Originals had 3 holes but it's easier to space 4 on my mill. ![]() ![]() |
