...do people use with their 7.5" Cooper S brakes? I'm currently using "green stuff" pads. When driving hard they just get better and better as they heat up. However, when cold it's a bit like "where are my brakes"?! I wouldn't want to emergency brake if I'd been cruising at 100 km/h for a while for example. What are peoples experiences with the various pads available. I want to change over to ones that have excellent cold braking performance and reasonable hot performance rather than the other way around. Thanks for your thoughts Mikal |

Go back to the EBC black stuff pads as they will give you a bigger bite. |

Boosters only reduce pedal effort, don't actually improve braking efficiency. Many people prefer unboosted, I believe a lot of race cars are unboosted. Think this topic was discussed recently... |

I faded mine bad going down Kurrajong and also Mt Keira, could hardly stop at the bottom. Then took them off and went back to Greenstuffs. Blacks are good for city driving, that's all, IMO. Greenstuffs + a booster = excellent.

Hi Doc, I find the first couple of braking applications with the greenstuffs are ordinary. Is that your experience? When I was driving the Trans Flores Hwy in Indo last year, fast windy mountainous stuff, the greenstuffs were just awesome. As I said before, the hotter they got the better they got giving huge confidence in the car's stopping ability. I just don't find the same in "normal" driving.. |

I ran for years with greens and no booster yes the 1st 2 stops are a bit ordinary. Fine then. I'm now 70 and getting soft, I like my servo! |

Yeah. I used to drag the brakes a bit as I took off down the street.
