I seem to remember that the additional Speedos could also be found mounted to the top rail of the parcel shelf, bottom right of the windscreen???? |

According to the factory documentation that's where the tacho was fitted (see below). All of the ex-police I've spoken to who drove the Cooper S say the SW Police Special speedometer was mounted on a rudimentary flat steel bracket above the steering column. It was attached by wing nuts as it had to be removed and the calibration checked on a monthly basis. Attachment: AYG9353 Installation Drilling for Tachometer subset.jpg
