Essentially my query is as above, I can remove the wiper motor and the left hand pivot/mechanism, but the right side it seems impossible to rotate this so that it clears the hole without removing the bonnet hinge. Are there any tricks to this? Thanks, Jon.

Well I did get it off fairly easily when I disassembled the wiper box, but whether I can get it back again is a different story... I wonder if they welded the hinge bracket in afterwards?!

I have found that by rotating the underside spacer 180 degrees it makes the whole job simpler. When the spiggot is poking out of the scuttle, you can then turn it back to its proper position.

Yep, tried rotating the spacer etc. The problem was that the hinge was getting in the way of the tube and preventing it moving downwards when it was rotated. It's only a few inches from the box. Jon.

you have to loosen the nuts holding the wiper drive gears together beneath each bit that protrudes the scuttle then you can rotate the sleeve to a different orientation to clear whatever you need to. Take your time, do it in the shade and don't swear at it and it will happen. Its a ning nong of a job especially when you're trying to reinstall it and not damage brand new paint work. @#$%&!

Yes, the bonnet is off but that hasn't helped me rotate the wiper box....!

I also loosen the nuts that hold the wiper box's together. 3/8 nuts from memory. This lets the tube between the two box's move around / twist, as it has a bend in it.

That's what I was trying to describe. The sleeve is in 3 sections, you have to loosen them all to manipulate the assembly out....
