Morning all just wondering if anyone happened to have any font files or vectors for the smiths gauge font?

The fonts were all made specifically by Smiths in the day. There is no true type alternative.
What are you trying to recreate?

You'd better ask Caerbont! They own the brand.

David E doesnt realise that by posting on Ausmini he has inadvertently asked Caerbont.
BTW They dont actually own the brand, they use it under licence.
Which font would you like? There are 3 primary variations.

I think you can fake it with a stretched version of Times. If you do it in something like Inkscape you'll get it looking pretty close. Alternatively scan a photo and trace the outline. Again, if you use Inkscape and do it in a vector format you can scale and stretch it without it going blocky.

I contacted Caebont and they said they'd make one up for me if I let them know the gauge I was planning to use :)
