I have a body with the RH wing replaced with a heritage panel.

The LH (original) panel takes the usual square hole plastic retainer type nut, to which the headlight bucket attaches:

The new panel has round holes instead:

Should I just find a nut and bolt [or screw] that works here or is there a better method I should use?? Thanks

Yes I have seen that has been done in various locations on Minis and I've wondered what is factory and what is 'altered'?!

Did they use those here from factory?

This panel is probably similar to late UK Minis I assume - maybe I should search the UK parts websites.

I'd file them square.

Yeah righto, sounds like I'll just have to use one of those workarounds and either file it square and grab some plastic inserts or use a nut and bolt. Cheers

Supercheap sells the square plastic inserts in packs on the bolt rack.

Oooh nice tip, alright I might do the file plus square plastic insert method. At less then it will be all consistent and local style. Thanks all.
