Bought a Mini recently and the owner said he had the original seats and motor. Only I had no idea how he had kept them till I went to pick them up

Hi, Sorry to see this happen to 850 stuff :( .

This may seem a strange question, if the grey vinyl on the back of the front seats has any life in it, are you interested in parting with it?
As we are trying to re-build 850 seats, with 850 vinyl.
Is there anything left of the rear seats?

How was the rest of the Mini ?

Sorry flapper but the vinyl on the back cracked and split when touched. I thought the frames might be salvageable but even they were beyond keeping.
Car already had rear seats as the front seats are non standard
The rest of the car was treated to some sort of resto some time back as its not perfect but not too bad either.

I have an 62 850, and I'm in the the process of getting it registered, once it is I'm going to put some hi back saas seat in, if they fit in I can't see why we can work out a price, they are in better condition than those one but they still have rips in the front, I will try and take some pics this weekend for you if you want.

Sounds alright so far, although I don't have those seats in the picture anymore; wasn't worth keeping
Where are you located because if in another state than NSW could prove to be an expensive exercise.
Photos would be great

Despite all the big bore hype...the 850 is a willing little donk...and with a few performance tickles will provide miles of smiles :D

Probably wont scrap the 850 but will gut the internals, put back together and have a ( much lighter )display motor in the garage
