Could someone please confirm on an Australian tandem master that the bottom port goes to the front brakes and the top port to the rears. Many thanks |

According to the Mini King catalogue 2008 pg 168 - that's correct. ( though I think the diagram is mis labelled parts 46/47 but photo correct) |

I have looked at a few engine bay photos of 77 and 78 clubbys and the bottom port goes to the left side of the proportioning valve then to the front brakes. It appears that the later version has a stepped bore and is connected the opposite. http://www.minimania.com/Fitment_of_Tan ... r___GMC227 |

This is my understanding of the dual system master cylinder so do your own research , as I could be wrong The original dual master cylinder fitted to clubman and moke had 2x 10mm fittings the bottom pipe goes to the front brakes and the top pipe to the rear the replacement later master cylinder GMC227 has a stepped bore , the lower bigger than the top the lower has a 12mm fitting . the top is 10mm on this master cylinder , the lower outlet goes to the rear brakes and the top to the front brakes hope this helps Mark |
