no idea on those, but depending on cost. my parents have a BMW X5 D.. they have air suspension and pulling a bigger than normal van its returns I think about 9l-100km without van it gets to about 5 or 6 L
The old man nearly forgets its on the back...... You should look at a low KM F series ( latest) or the just supersecced one

Thanks Brett, our first trip is going up to Airlie beach, then across to Darwin and Kakadoo, and Litchfield Park, then that should take care of winter down here. Then have a look at the big rock on the way home, so thats the main reason for going diesel, more readily available up that way.

Remember, weight of towing vehicle vs weight of van is one of the most important safety considerations as is rear wheel or all/4WD :D

GU or GQ patrol 4.2 or a 3ltr after 06 or 07 the earlier 3ltr motors had issues with the crank

the van weighs in at about 2 tonne loaded, the Jeep and Ford Everest both have a 3 tonne pay load, so either should not have a problem, its just that 470 nm of torque at 1800 rpm is my major buying point.
