Did Repco make uprated clutch pressure plates or were they based on original fitment? just trying to work out what is in my gt motor

If the clutch did not slip it must be OK.

The Repco catalogue from 1984 shows the same pressure plate on the Mini and the Cooper S/Clubman GT. (part number deleted)
It shows a different driven plate though.

Measure the thickness of the diaphragm spring and compare it to a blue dot S one. I think same or thicker. I don'thave one here, will check tomorrow.

I found some more info in some other Repco catalogues. I don't expect anyone is interested though.

I'm "reasonably curious"... but you're right, I don't know if it'd stretch to "interested"....

The Repco one I have the spring measures 2.35mm thick.
My AP grey dot one is 2.5mm.
Both blue dot Cooper S ones here measure 2.10mm.

I seem to remember this Repco one was the same thickness as an orange dot one.
