Guys

In process on a project and got to the point of fitting master cylinder and bleeding brakes. Little info it's running a new yellow tag tandem master cylinder into the Rover style engine bay mounted bias valve.

Now the issue I have is no pedal for most of the travel and then rock hard!

Any ideas?!?

Are the rear drums adjusted up properly, and are you sure you have all the fluid out of the lines?

Timmy201 is on right track, try adjusting rears right up tight just to check ( you can back off Pete)
Maybe just let them gravity bleed a bit. By the description of 'no pedal then hard it sounds like only half of system is working.

I found tandem MC s harder to bleed, when we had Barney I finally went to B&R Brakes and got him pressure bled.

Bleed the Master Cylinder first by disconnecting the 2 outlet pipes and putting your fingers over the holes with some rags around the area to absorb any fluid spills. Push pedal down with finger on hole and when pedal is released stop air going back into the cylinder for next stroke. When enough fluid comes out re connect pipes and go to the wheels. Wit back brakes just push pedal down when bleed nipple is open Otherwise Bias valve shuts under pressure not allowing any pressure to Wheel Cylinders. Close nipple and release pedal repeat till fluid comes out of both sides. Then do the same with fronts.
