They reckon they do still stock the Superlites in 10-12's even though it's not listed here. I think Performance wheels closed? But have since been taken over and re-opened?

Performance wheels has been sold off ( re machinery & land in SA ) another company is
now having the wheels made off shore under the same name.

There will be a small run of 12 " wheels.

We have supplied a 10x5.5 " wheel ( suit group N & road cars) that is in early production.
Also a 10X6" is being made as well.

There seems to be two company's claiming to make the Performance wheels, one is claiming they own everything and the other is a knock off of them and not using the pressed steel inserts unless requested. Looks to be a battle going to happen over them.

One is Trans Am Race Engineering and the other is Wheelboyz.

Guess we all need to watch and see what happens

It would be interesting to see if someone could list the weight off the rims minus tires. I will be looking to upgrade mine in the next year to 10x6 but I will be chasing lightweight rims for track day purposes. I Can't decide on either Mamba's or Mini-light style.

The weight of them will be the deciding factor.

There used to be ?? a Performance Wheels based in the UK as well - which was separate from the Oz version.

IMHO PW (Oz) were a waste of space. They used to sell wheels to the UK at a price that allowed the UK suppliers to sell wheels to Oz consumers at a price which (freight included) was cheaper than you could buy them from Adelaide..

The original mambas are very light. That was the main aim when they were developed. I have some 10x6 less tyres if you want to know their weight.

The 10x5 from before the name changed hands was about 2.7kg.

As AFF warned, the wheels pictured in the ebay link don't appear to have steel inserts for the wheelnut seats.
How important is that for safety or durability?

They are OK if the nuts stay tight. If they come loose it buggers the holes.
Good alloy wheels have inserts.
