One of the outer races of the wheel bearings in my hubs will not move........every BFH ive tried wont make it move. Theres massive chunks missing from my drift as a result of the sucker too.

Ive been applying WD40 to try lube it up aswell but nothing is working :(

any suggestions?

if ya can get one of those hot air guns, heat the surrounding metal.

If you're using a soft drift, get a harder one. I find a good solid steel punch works well(I used a ratchet extension, BODGY). just make sure the hub is supported firmly on some blocks of wood etc.

I use a small cold chisel with the sharp bit ground flat. And a BFH..

Never hit them except in the slots provided in the inner web. You can easily burr and stuff up the web in the hub if not careful.

Oxy or LPG torch is more effective for this than a hot air gun...! :P

<edit> is it a disc or drum swivel hub? If it's drum just get another- everyone has bins full of 'em..

Hmmmm, I thinks my hot air gun works well. If its hot enough to be scorching paint off its enough to be breaking any corrosion up under the bearing race. And nowhere near the chance of overheating the metal as Oxy or Butane Torch.
