Why is it you can't talk about unhappy experiences with so called mini "experts" without naming names especially if you have got no tax invoices for work done only a initial mastercard purchase of the product bought I thought this is a public forum and mini owners would like to know of the problems out there with aftermarket stuff or general mini stuff I would or is this a big boys club now I have gradually watched good members go completely or hardly come on now I believe this forum is going to crap

Glen, If you have someone in your ear, you will also know that I have spoken to him many times over private messages about continuous spamming of the forum with new posts about the same issue. There has been perhaps a dozen single posts about his displeasure at the head he has received. Everyone who needs to know about knows about it. Posting new posts on here will not fix the issue, nor will it help the problem jump to the head of some queue.

The message is out there, a single post remains where his issue is discussed. Even this one is wearing a bit thin.

We've all had experiences, and we worked them out at an individual level each time. Phone calls are a good start, visits are the next stop, Australian Consumer Protection networks are the third.

Ausmini is not a scratching post. Facebook is better for rambling posts..

Ian, get on the phone to Graham. I'm not going to call him for you.

Yes, all in the other thread. Discussed at length. With options.

Now we know the full story theres nothing to see here now

sounds like Ian could have a big peice of scrap ally soon if he pisses of the wrong people who are trying to help him out cause no one will wanna do the job soon

Doug or other mods should just lock the other topic he started about this and lock this one to before he says the wrong thing and while he's still skating on half thick ice

You are well aware of the forum rules, and Australian law as to why you cannot name people or companies you may be unhappy with, rightfully or not.

This is a public forum and as a member of the public I am sick of your petty singing posts.

As Mick says,
Take it to Consumer Affairs and the Office of Fair Trade. I believe you should be able to discuss on an open forum about potential problems with goods and services but remember, everything you write on here can be used in court, so be careful. You CAN NOT take your item to another person for repair and hand the bill over to the first party. Legally you will be laughed at as there is no compulsion for them to pay. I think you will find that the Office of Fair Trade has the best avenue for assistance for you. If they find fault in the goods the legal matter becomes between them and the original seller/provider. The Office of Fair Trade have very deep pockets and can ask for court costs to be placed against the seller/provider should it go that way in court. Usually these matters settle out of court as a result.
Good luck, but I think your grievances on here have been noted and are probably at the end of their usefulness.

The amount of whining that you have done on the forum of late is beginning to make me think that you are one of those customers that will NEVER be happy. To me, your posts are having the opposite effect and it hasn't changed my personal opinion of the parties you are dealing with.

It would be perfect if this forum had a blocking function for specific members so I didn't have to read their, or their mates drivel about the same issue once a week. I understand you are upset about the situation but I am tiring of reading sentence long multiple posts that are posted one after the other about the same issue.

There are two sides to every story. I've heard some of the "other side" of the alloy head saga that's been posted over and over again, and it's somewhat different to the sequence of events described here in the last few weeks. This is a good example of why the forum doesn't allow members to name and shame others.

Hi Goldbrocade 62
If you wanted to help Ian why did you not pick up the phone and ring me and find out the other side of the story, insted of trying to stir up trouble on forums.
I have told Ian many times now that I would help him fit the head if he got into trouble but instead he chooses to get onto forums and bitch about the head, this is where a little knowledge is dangerous and maybe he should have let somebody that knows what they are doing to fit the head for him.
No after market head will fit straight on without a little fiddling and Ian was told this when he bought the head, hence the offer to help. It's not a big job.
Ian made arrangements with me to come down again yesterday but failed to turn up again, I put everybody off so I could help him with his problems but no Ian, instead he chooses to get on the forums an bitch once again about the same things.
Did he tell you about the private messages he sent me and how he was going to get the head tested for hardness, and buy another head off e bay and compare them and let every body know the results. Maybe he found the head was the correct hardness after all?
I am the so called GURO as he likes to put it that told him he could put a plate under the posts but he then wanted to bitch about the rocker geometry being out, once again lack of knowledge on how to set up the rockers.
He then goes on about the one 3/8 hole not being drilled out. Maybe he should have a look at every mini head that has been made and he will find that BMC forgot to drill out the centre hole in the front of the head too.
Good reason for that Ian go figure it out,and as for the plate if you remember I took the one off my head and gave it to you, and there is a set of push rods here for you as you were told. Last I knew you never got a set of push rods with the Arden head you have to buy them as an option.
So Goldbocade stop the bitchin pick up the phone ring him and hold his hand and you bring him down, this is the LAST chance after this he can stick the head in the bin
Graham Russell
