G'day I think i have decided to stick with the preformance alloys... (I am close to ordering them) But now was hoping everyone could recomend a few good tyres that will fit 13' * 7's I think i am looking at a 195/50-13 tyre but there are just so many... I need a high grip tyre that is road legal... & will still get 5,000k's or so.... any recomendations? Perilli? Yokohamma? A539? or something betta Dunlop? Toyo? what are people's sugestions |

195's????? Gee thats a tad wide... you may have some trailing arm clearance issues with 195's.... and trouble with the front arch clearance too. I'm using 175's on my 13x7's... and have seen many other people using 175's... they fit fine. Your choice though. Just check clearance before committing to that width of tyre. As far as brands go, I was very happy with the grip level of various styles and sizes of Dunlop rubeer I have used. There are some very erotic (oops I meant EXOTIC) Dunlop tyres out there. Kuhmo - yuck. Pirelli - hmm okay Yokohama - not bad either. Dunlop still wins with me.. Hehe... on a funny note, I CAN tell you that 225's on 13x7s need MAJOR body modifications.... you can forget about steering if you dont cut the arches away. Look cool though. |

Thanks guys you are all champions... Can i ask a simple stupid question isn't 215 way too big for a 7inch wheel... 215mm works out to be 8.46457 inches... isn't that way to big... The Toyo tyres are what I will be buyiing for the drag strip... I am buying two extra rims... for those.... A032R's are bloody awesome tyres... just a lil soft for me for the street i think... plus i really need a 50 profile.... I know the R1's are a 60profile... but the drag strip we will only go straight so it will be fine... I think the Yoko A539's will be the go for everyday street use for me... As I can't find anywhere that will sell me the Dunlop SP9000's in a 195/45/13 Thanks heaps for the help |

Dean, as we spoke yesterday and you know my thoughts that a 175/50/13 would fit ok as they 175/50/13 fit great on my 13x6 rims, if you want to throw them on for a few days first let me know and you can pop over and grab them. here are some sites to check out on some not so road legal tyres which look road legal fi you know what i mean http://www.hoosierracingtires.on.net/drag.htm i know the guy who lives not far from me who is the ozzy importer for hoosier http://www.dunlopmotorsport.com.au/ (for this site look at the stucky tyres and then other brands racing) |

it'll handle like a bucket of crap with 13's excess strain on engine and gearbox = expensive exercise, say bye bye to your gearbox. lol mini's handle so much better with 10's |

Ummmm I can only use 13's... So i will have to put up with a lil less handling & alot more POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am running a starlet motor & box... so i think it can handle the strain... |
