Hi: Done a search but can't see anything - if I have missed sorry. I need to store a complete power unit for a while, fully assembled including radiator. Any tips? Obviously fill the sump to the dipstick full mark - but what else? Fill the cooling system? Thank you |

Put a strip of cardboard instead of a manifold gasket, if carbs are on it. Squirt some oil into all the spark plug holes then turn the motor over by hand for a turn or so. |

I would drain all the water... electrolytic action will continue if you don't.... ..and how much is .."a while"... ?? Fresh oil and clean antifreeze is fine for 4 or 5 years.. You can buy special "fogging" oil for long term storage. Cheers, Ian |

I could store it in my mini and give it a run now and then, just to help you out. |
