One mini is approx 650kg, you might want a bit more than that for the spare tyre, tool box, extra parts etc. |

It is very hard to get a trailer under 100kg to accomodate a mini. The easy trailers basic 8x5 trailer is 110kg. With 2 runners for the wheels and tiedowns etc you would be closer to 130kg. So you would need to take 30kg out of your car before transporting it. Maybe taking out the spare wheel and battery would get you close. You may need to look at braked trailers if you cant get your combined weight under 750kg. |

This one would do the job, especially for a Cooper S with 6" wheels - 5' wide is too narrow... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FLAT-BED-MOW ... SwyQtV477A Just need ramps etc. |

Anything over 750kg requires the trailer to have brakes. This means you need a break module in the tow vehicle as well. |

I think most basic light trailer brakes are "over run" type - no electric controller, just a pressure detecting tow hitch with the hydraulic brake system integrated and disc or drum brakes on the 2 wheels.... |
