Hey guys, the pull cord for my heater is pretty well seized up, and with winter on it's way I thought I'd replace it this weekend when I'm flushing the cooling system. The question is, can anyone verify that this is the correct part that I need for the Rover, and is it likely that this is the part causing me trouble? Thanks. http://minikingdomonline.com.au/product ... i-clubman/ http://minisport.com.au/mini-clubman-he ... -on-heater |

I'm pretty sure those two are for older cars. Mine is an spi and it's completely different to them. Have a look on the mini spares site to find the right part number. |

Yeah, I've been digging all of the retail spots, and am now having trouble deciding between these two... My Rover was built for Japan and had air-con. It is a single-point, but under the bonnet is arranged more like a twin-point... Oi... http://minispares.com/product/Classic/C ... 00260.aspx http://minispares.com/product/Classic/C ... 10011.aspx |

Is the heater valve under the bonnet or on the side of the heater inside the car ? |

It isn't under the bonnet, as I cannot find the heater pull cable coming through the firewall. I assume this means it is under the dash.. |

The JJB100260 is the one that suits your car. It's located on the top of the heater on the left side. Difficult to get to - I'd just leave it open permanently. ![]() |

I plan to drop the heater out entirely, give it all a clean and a rinse, replace the tap, and re-install the whole lot. Doesn't sound like fun, but I can't stand having the thing seized up! |

I have the same heater for my project car- but was just going to have it permanently connected with no tap at all! Problem solved! |
