Hi all ... I'm new to this but am excited about it!

I'm planning on getting my 1969 cooper s resprayed red, but I'm not sure exactly what red I should get it done in.
A white roof would look awesome also.
Give me your thoughts....

Cheers.

For 1969 the colour was Jet Red.

What colour was it originally? I would suggest going with that.

Ah ok, yeah pretty sure it's that colour. Except now it's faded to like an orange.

Yes, Jet Red can do that. It is a great colour and very popular. In my opinion it looks better monotone. :D

The paint stickers were affixed behind the master cylinders halfway up the firewall bulkhead.

Here is the register of known MK2 cars. You will see that the 1969 Jet red cars also had the option of a Crystal white roof.

Is your car already in the register?

Jet Red with a white roof looks stunning. Very vibrant red a bit like Ford Vermillon Fire (GTHO colour)
There was one at Minifest 91 in Sydney that caught my eye. It had a white interior and is still one of the best looking minis I have ever seen.

I love red minis with a black roof rather than white. I think it looks much cooler. 8)
Thats just my personal preference.

Why not paint the car mono tone and have the roof wrapped in white? Best of both worlds.

Is it a daily?
