Hi My mini rod change seal kit is worn and is leaking oil. How do i get the old sleeve out with out taking off the diff housing with engine in car. any one got any tricks. pic off offending item is below. my new one has two threads tapped in it. I tried the el-cheepo brand before I saw the one that "TheMiniMan" sells. It only lasted a few months. I managed to get the sleeve out by drilling 2mm drill bits into opposite sides and leaving them in there, then pulling on the drill bits with pliers. Not much room in there and you have to make sure you don't slip and scratch the sealing surface. I ended up going with 2 seals because I had them in my spares bin and it stopped the leak. |

my kits (the latest ones) already have 2x drilled & threaded holes to screw into ![]() Matt |
