Post subject: | Different Dry Subframes? |
Hi all I recently picked up two dry front subframes, one being a clubman drum setup and other a cooper s disk setup. Im putting the disk brakes into the GT body But side by side these subframes are different slightly For example, no bump stop mount holes and has teardrop shape plates at the front of the subframe and top stud holes are different sizes Is it ok to use either in the GT or should i convert the drum subframe to disk Cheers |

A Cooper S one was wet not dry, (can be converted) the bumpstops are on the top arm, not the subframe. So no holes there. If the Clubby one has teardrop front mounts on, the car has had a UK front panel fitted at some time. UK ones (late 70s) all had rubber mounted subframes. I would put discs on the Clubby one. |

This would make sence, i didnt even consider it being a hydro subframe, it has donuts and hilo's in it already with shocks on it Clubman frame is just a stock aussie subframe, Cheers |
