Hey guys, I have a question to throw out to you: The chassis number on my Mini is unfortunately rubbed out, you can only make out some of the numbers. What would you suggest to use / do in order to bring the full chassis number out again? Many thanks. [THUMBS UP SIGN] |

Heat with a oxy or similar, remove the paint with a wire brush. Then heat up the numbers until you can read what they say. It's like a tattoo, you can still read them when there heated although you can't when it's cold. Good luck Daniel |

That's a bugger. I have seen so many cars that have been butchered and given a new chassis number. Is yours restamped with a NxxxxxP number? I used battery acid and wet and dry sandpaper on my engine block but I haven't tried it on a body number. If yours is a 1969 car you should also have a number stamped into the drain gutter above your wiper motor. 2/06 and a 3 digit number . Like this ![]() |

Cheers - I'll have a look next week when I'm back home. I'm pretty sure it's a 69 model. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
