Has there been any records kept showing how many cars of each colour were built? I love the colour Porcelain Green but not sure whether to just buy any mini and paint it or wait around until I found one that was painted Porcelain Green at the factory and then repaint it if required. Do you guys think it's too much to wait around until a mini comes up for sale that is Porcelain Green? |

It may take years to find one. Just buy a car and paint it. I only know of 10 x Morris 850's painted in Porcelain Green. It was an early colour. The other option is to find someone with a Porcelain Green car and hound them until they sell it. What do you think of Tamarisk Green? It is the closest colour to Porcelain Green and was painted on the Mini K and MK2 Cooper S. |

Porcelain Green is a reasonably common colour on 850s, used late '63 and '64. It's the 6th most common colour among the 850s I've seen (out of 31 colours). Just keep an eye out, you never know when one might come up for sale. |

From the cars I've seen, for light greens: Chartreuse - 1961/very early 1962 Saxon Green - 1962 and 1963 Porcelain Green - 1963 and 1964 I don't know about 1965. Please note that this from observation of cars I've seen and shouldn't be taken as 100% accurate. Coopers would have been in production at the time, but I am unable to say how common Porcelain Green is for them. |

There was a very light green almost white in 1970/71. A Cooper S with this colour lived near me and it looked stunning... |
