Question...Were they standard? (It does look to be Factory, not back yard)

That would be called something like a "Precipitation Displacement Plate" wouldn't it ?

On the adjoining page to the exploded parts diagram (above), it says that part #14A9229 Distributor Shield ends at change point 113614 for the Morris 850. The van didn't get one according to the parts book. |

A round margarine tub and a cable tie on the dizzy works well. |
