Post subject:  HELP!! Looking to buy this

Hi guys,

I am looking to buy this mini, well I am thinking about it.

Just need some opinions on the rust. This is what im concerned about. How hard would it br to fix this rust?

The guy is taking more pics for me of the other bits of rust but can anyone give me an inidicitive idea of the repairs?

im not mechanically or car minded really but willing to give it a go, but just need to know if im wasting my time.

closer photos of the rust would help. Me for one, dislike roof gutter rust or is that leaf matter?

Its got less rust than mine...get yourself a good mig welder and do a weeks course to learn how to weld...if the underneath is good and floors etc it all depends on how much he wants...if it was me and it was cheap enough Id buy it

Id offer $1500 and negotiate from there if you get it for 2 grand then I think that would be reasonable

Are you buying one to play on and get experience or do you just want a cheap mini? If the later then i would spend more up front for a good one thats on the road. You will save yourself a lot of trouble, time and money. These things are money pits especially if you have to get outside assistance with painting and mechanicals.

Well its def got less rust than mine...check floors and sills as thats where most of them really rust and inside boot at the battery tray but any mini of that age unless its been restored will need welding so Id say no more than 2g.

Still has less rust than yours really?

How much would it cost to fix that rust up?
