Can anyone help with the correct written format/spelling for the plural of "Cooper S" ? Is it, " A team of Cooper Ss ?", "Cooper esses?", "Cooper Ses?", or some other variation? |

The correct grammar would be Cooper S' with the apostrophe at the end but no following s. However that would be pronounced "Cooper Esses" |

This has always been a bone of contention and I don't think there is one clear correct answer. However, I would not use Cooper S's or Cooper S' as that denotes possession. An apostrophe can also be used where letters are missing, such as in isn't or didn't, etc, but this is not the case here. I tend to use the collective singular, as in one Cooper S, two Cooper S. But be careful that you don't get confused with one Cooper and two Coopers. So, you could say, for example: The Cooper S's wheel came off and the three other Cooper S following dodged the errant wheel, but the two Coopers behind them both hit it. I'm not saying I am 100% correct or that there is no other way to do it, but that is how I do it. Many journalists use Cooper Ss and that is okay, as far as I am concerned, but not Cooper S's. I have been known to use Cooper Ss from time to time and have let a few through to the keeper - sometimes simply because that's the way the story was written for me. So, really, I think Cooper S or Cooper Ss, but please, no apostrophe. Cheers, Watto. |

Maybe the word that should be the plural is not the badge name but the actual item you are describing which is a car. Therefore it would be i saw a Cooper S car this morning and two Cooper S cars this afternoon. |
