I'm thinking of replacing the 3 clock Clubman dash in my Mini Van with a 2 clock full length charcoal custom one, something like this
http://www.minispares.com/product/Class ... 0to%20shop

I want to ditch the Clubman gauges and mount 3 or 4 Smith's 54mm gauges in the centre, along with Smith/Caerbont classic speedo and tacho in the 2 pre-formed holes in front of the steering. As these gauges can be bought in either 80mm or 100mm diameter versions, can someone please tell me what is the diameter of these big holes in this type of dash?

thanks

I've got the same dash, I can measure it tomorow but if you unscrew your gauges from the surround the raised part of the clear plastic us the same size as the gauge holes so that should give you some idea.
Also the charcoal dash is a dark glossy black, I would say it's like a good piano kind of colour, looks great with white gauges and I went for the one with the chrome rings

Thanks mate, much appreciated. Did you get your dash from Mini Spares? I was also looking at the Dash of Colour designs. Look to be very well made, high quality paint finishes, but nearly twice the price. They also sell an insert glove box to go behind the opening lid.

Got mine from mini spares, I have seen a glovebox insert on eBay. The quality is great, I'm very happy with it.

The inside of the chrome trim at the smallest end is 88.5mm.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it, just got to sort out the air vents. Hope the rest of the car will end up looking as good.
