or use a little brake fluid if its only a little area.. it worx well!

I just want to remove the old thick yellow paint on my horn (in my quest to remove all of the last yellow items under my bonnet). I want to paint it the same black as my engine. I have removed most of the old paint by hand with a blade, but some nooks and crannies need to be cleaned out with some kind of paint remover. Can anyone recommend a good paint remover that might do the trick? |

just walk into a hardware store and ask the guy there he should have one he reccomends...i recon the'd all do the job pretty much |

If you have an engine reconditioner near by drop down these and ask them to run their sandblaster over it. A 2 min job and the surface will be ready for paint and it will bind to the surface well! Or Use thick black paint and just paint over the yellow. If you have sanded the rest off I'm guessing the edges of the remaining paint is feathered so you wont see the transition from metal to old paint through the black. PS Fitting a modern horn I recon saves a heap of space and weight. The Mini duel horns a bloody heavy |

Small wire wheel on a drill ( + EYE PROTECTION like gogles) it cleans anything to bare metal. Ideal where an angle grinder wheel is too big. |
