morning all!

my old dual smiths gauge has lost his way regarding temperature! its a capillary style temp sender so I suspect there is a hole in there somewhere... is there anyone around that repairs these? or alternatively converts to electric signal?

I'm sure you could go to a shop and get it repaired too.

The gauge in my car is still going well all these years later (the same one in that thread) - a testament to the awesome job sitnlo62 did.

You can still buy Smiths Gauges of the capillary or 'lectric types...why not shout the car a new bit of bling?

The cost of repairing is liable to be half the cost of a new one anyway....

Lionel Otto instruments in Brisbane also do a very good job.
There was a company in he northern suburbs of Sydney but last time I travelled past they were gone - cannot remember thicker name.
Cheers
