Post subject: | wiring loom |
hey guys, geez, been ages since I posted in here but my mini is once again getting a spurt of energy and money spent on it. Has anyone replaced a wiring loom, how much was the loom and labour? there is the oroiginal loom in it but seems a little old and the wires are all the same shade of grime. Could a auto electrician do a suitable job with the old loom or am i better off starting fresh? cheers guys ![]() |

You can buy new original style harnesses from Vinwire on the north coast of NSW, sorry i don't have there contact details anymore, i bought one for my MK2 Cooper S it cost around $350 from memory, my auto electrain mate had a look at it & said he could'nt make it for under $700, so there good value. Can't tell you, it has'nt been fitted back in the car yet, anyway all the terminals are numbered & a fact sheet tells you where the numbers go to. Doogie |
