Hi guys does anybody know where I can get a repair kit for the rear brake pressure regulator for a Cooper S as while it is out I would like to replace the spring & seal.
Cheers

You might need to ask yourself why you want to do that because AFAICS there are no repair/rebiuild kits around which contain those two components. Replacement regulators are available, but is there anything wrong with the one you have?

The only kit that was made for these valves was the Lockheed one. But they are NLA now.
I'd keep your valve as is if still working, or buy a new (probably aftermarket) one if it's toasted.

My 1970 car still has its original valve working fine. They don't seem to give trouble if kept in use.

As the Doc said the kits are NLA but occasionally pop up on eBay or elsewhere. If you do some searching on GRK6002 you'll see most of the Mini spares places have them listed as no stock. Some people suggest taking the rubber seal to a brake specialist to see if they have one by another number or name. Chances are the spring is OK and doesn't need replacing.

Thanks guys I just thought that before I put it back in if parts were available I would replace them. Cheers

Mini Spares sell an adjustable one.

I took mine apart and cleaned it out ... it was pretty gunky (precise technical term :) inside..and then put it back together with all the original bits.

I really can't say I could tell if it was better... or worse afterwards..... I guess you might be able to find a new seal from a brake specialist

Cheers

I have just seen that new rubbers are available at Minisport. I wil put them in as I would imagine that the old ones are origional.
