Hey guys, as most of you now know I bought my first mini this week... Now I've got a question regarding my disc brakes.

I can't find a brake booster anywhere... do people often install disk brakes without a brake booster? I'm rather dissappointed in the braking performance of my mini and will be looking for a way to improve it's stopping ability.

When I got out of the mini and got into the Cressida I almost went through the windscreen the first time I hit the brakes, I was already used to the mini's crap braking and forgot how real cars stop. :x

If it doesn't have a booster how easy is it to add one to the system and what types are available? There doesn't seem to be any space left under the bonnet for additional engine components.

I haven't got a good pic of the engine bay yet but this will have to do til I take one...

Plenty of room. It sits above the coil pack.

Holy crap... expensive!

How easy are they to fit? Bearing in mind that I have no idea what I'm doing and will be going by instructions or a book or something. :?

Best buy one, mount it on, then drive to a brake place. They will make 2 pipes to fit, and bleed the system.

I've got a recond one here for the wife's Mini but haven't got around to fitting it, yet..
