Which way would a ET of 17 push the wheels in or out ?

The lower the number, the further out of the arches they will stick..

ROH Contessa 10x5 alloys with the "normal" offset are around +17. The "LS" style ones would be around +35 to +40?

If they are 5x10 they will be pretty similar to the Contessas. If they are 6x10 there will be an additional 1/2" of wheel on the inside and outside.
