For early Ss with generator charging, the wiring diagram shows the earth leads from front headlights, parking lights and control box go to"Dash Earth".

Dash earth would be the stud and nut fitted on the back of the speedo housing. Main chassis earth would be the screw fitted in the gusset next to the Regulator. The Black wires in the looms connect at these points.

The earth wires for the headlights and parking lights connect to the loom via Lucar connectors somewhere near the centre of the bonnet panel close to the bonnet catch.The wiring from the headlights also connect at this point.
