Post subject: | Fuel pump mounts |
Hi, removed the fuel pump today to find it's a Facet type, from what I've found out so far this type should be rubber mounted not bolted directly to the subframe as ours was. Can anyone recommend the best way to do this? Do the rubbers go between the bracket and the subframe or pump and bracket? Does the pump need to be mounted by both mounting holes? Any photos of other people's solutions for this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jon Attachment: IMG_2973.JPG Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

These "cotton reel" rubbers are a good choice. They are the same as you'd use on the exhaust mounts. http://minisport.com.au/mini-moke-gear- ... unt-rubber |

I use an old engine mount, file out 2 holes to fit the pump and it works quite well |

It doesn't really matter where the rubber is as long as it separates the pump from the body so the Tick Tick doesn't transmit into the body (like mine does). |

These things are a perfect fit the Facet pumps amazingly http://minisport.com.au/mini-centre-exhaust-mount Requires only one hole to be drilled in your subframe |

I took the good docotors(Kev)advice and mounted it on a rear subframe square exhaust mount and bolted the pump to that. No noise at all now and was a lot easier to run power through the boot to the battery instead of the old Ecco fuel pump I had where I ran the power through the underside channel to the engine bay. |
