Are the Cooper / Mk1 S heater mounts on the inside fire wall the same as the Mk2 S or clubman? Are they pop riveted, welded or bolted in? Anyone have an original photo? |

The early cooper did not have the J brackets. They had a heat exchanger bolted up to the underside of the parcel shelf and the fan was under the bonnet. |

My mate had a later 997 Cooper, it had the brackets and heater. Car got written off and I put the heater into my 850. Edit pretty sure it was a 63/64 car. |

I just had a look at my Cooper photos and it looks like the under bonnet heaters were used on the CKD cars until around YKA2S1 2000. After that the cars were built here and had the J brackets. |
