If you mean the 2 screws holding the catch (not the ones on the piano hinge to body): raised head (countersunk underneath, slightly domed top) pozidrive 8gg x 3/8 inch. I think they might have been chrome finish - can't tell from mine. Sometimes the original screw becomes lose and is replaced by a 10gg screw. |

They are quite small - countersunk head Pozidrive 4gg x 3/8 inch. Will look tomorrow. Bill |

I've tried some 4 guage countersunk screws in the piano hinge, but they were to small. Would it be ok to use 6guage countersunk screws? Or would they sit to proud in the hinge |

When I said "4 gauge" it was more of an uneducated guess... Sometimes I have found the hole has become too big and the original screw pulls out. Go to 6gg and if it is too proud (which I doubt will happen), tap it with a pin punch and hammer. A short piece of wire inserted into the hole before the original sized screw is fitted might also help. |
