Would someone be able to show a picture of the rear bracket for the remote gear change and the rubber mount that was used, it is a 1974 Clubman, or if it is available, please. I have not been able to find much info at all, the English info seems to show a bracket that went down one side of the tunnel, this one looks like it was bolted between both side of the tunnel, I can repair the damage to the broken bracket welded to the floor and some repair on the other side. The remote was just floating when we got the car.

74 clubman should have a rod change ??
the remote alloy housing that we have is a large rubber cotton reel on a bracket which bolts to the floor behind the cross member.
please correct me if i am wrong.

A cotton reel bolts though the end of each of the 'arms' and the floor/top corner of the opening.

As it was fitted with the remote change and seems like should have been rod, I would suppose that is the reason why nothing seems to want to fit into place or parts available. Will be a few months before I get to that stage, but it looks like I will have to fabricate something to fit when ready, Thanks.

I'm sure someone here had these, I cannot remember who.
It bolts in with 2 bolts just in front of the crossmember, and one behind.
When fitted, the bracket must be pushed forwards hard against the rubber mount. Otherwise you will shear the plate off the mount.

Probably was, I was looking for something else at the time so it didn't register who.

Ok, Thanks for the information as that was the bracket that kept cropping up when I looked, but as it did not fit the holes in the floor, I assumed that it must have been wrong, now I will have to put one of those brackets on the want list for later when all the other things are fixed.
